I'm going to be brutally honest here.
I am OVER masks.
I know they're necessary. I fully endorse keeping one another as safe as possible and all doing our part, and yes, I've tested, designed, and have had a hand in the production of thousands of the things... but the fact that we're still in mask-land means that Covid is still looming, and the relative normal it's safe to say many of us miss has been replaced with this "new normal" where masks, sanitizer, and the like are just automatic.
If you're anything like me, you probably have a little collection of masks - disposables, branded masks, the kind with the ear loops, the gaiter kind, yadda yadda... and receiving another one, no matter how nice looking it might be, just isn't all that thrilling anymore.
Needless to say, this has left me thinking about what the next big thing in branding will be. Those little tools for pushing buttons and opening doors? They get forgotten in the car, or just forgotten in general even if they're in a pocket, purse, or on a keychain. Sanitizer? Sure - that's good. Always handy. But what happens when it runs out? It goes right into the circular file (aka the trash).
In this nearly-but-not-quite post-Covid world, what's something else that people will keep with them, but never toss?
